Powershift 125 - Alan

I am thinking of buying a Focus powershift 125 ; Does anyone know of reliability issues or what to look out for please.

I have the powershift with 1.6 engine. Early 2011/2012 have issues with oil seals and software. The software updates should all be sorted or can be sorted free from a local dealer.

Rather than a recall Ford provide a 5 years gearbox warranty and so cars with the oil seal issues might still be out there. Avoid these early 6 speed gearboxes and they are otherwise generally ok.

I have looked at that thanks but it dosn't say much.The model I am thinking of is a 2013 1.6 powershift 125.

According to someone on another forum, the Powershift option has been withdrawn in Australia and NZ - TC auto available instead.

Dual clutch transmission has been withdrawn on the Focus sold in Australia but the Mondeos still have it I think. Mind you the latest Mondeo is not selling well in Aust. Sales are less than the previous model. It is up against the Mazda 6 and the Subaru Liberty which cost much the same but have very much better resale values.
