Citroen DS3 - Any experience with auto gearbox of this car? - iamnicolas
Anyone owns or has any experience with the auto gearbox? Any known faults? Citroen told me in a conventional 4 speed auto.

DS3 can have an auto manual transmission and sice May 2015 some have 6 speed TCs.

I did have a look at HJ's reviews meself FB, and i couldn't see the EGS or whatever Citroen renamed the horrid Sensodrive thing masquerading as a gearbox, must have missed it in the write up, so they did stick that awful box in after all.

4 speed full auto up until 2015. Now a 6 speed EAT6 full auto.

Both are good and reliable. The 4 speed feels better when put in 'sport' mode simply since it holds in gear longer and makes best use of the limited number of gears. However if you are doing lots of motorway driving the later 6 speed is obviously more relaxed when cruising.

No trick electronic clutch systems to either!

Thank you! I will go for the 4 speed. My budget is around £7000 max so i think i can find a decent ds3!
