Hello.

Had a reply from Mr John Slaven (HJ) which was very kind and quick.

As Im 72 yrs old female, Im afraid I cant cope with anything too complicated.

My local Dealership said they would install a Road Angel Halo, but they didnt tell me its on subscription and is not compatible with a Mac (laptop).

Having searched the web, Im going round in circles.

All I want is something to fit behind driving mirror (small) for forward driving, not too bothered about rear now,but I dont want to have to take it out every time I leave the car, like I do my sat nav which would share the other USB point.

Was prepared for them to hard wire it in but it looks like I shall have to buy a decent dual USB plug to go in my cigar lighter and have wire dangling down my screen!!

I also have a small dog and as the car is keyless I have to deactivate the alarm and just leave it locked when I leave him in, which may effect the final choice of Dash Cam

Has anybody any opinions to help me out please.

Perhaps take a triip to a local Halfords store.They have loads of different models in stock and will advise accordingly.I think you will find that dash cams require a 12 volt power socket supply not usb.Not too sure what the keyless has got to do with your dog and dash cam?

Just buy a good cheap one.

I've hard wired it in and been using it over a year fault free. I would have bought the one on offer at Aldi recently, but by 8.30am they had all gone locally, i was going to wire it up for the back view.

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply.

My concern regarding leaving my dog in the car is that I have to disable the alarm, which leaves the car just locked and I dont want the electrics to malfunction.

Also regarding the subscription angle am I correct in thinking this is to update the GPS ?
