Fod Capri Mk1 - Front Seat change - Vinnie

Very keen to get a mk1 Capri Mk1 but a bit concerned about the lack of heatrests.

Will the folding seats from a Mk2 or Mk3 fit straight in, or will they need adaptor brackets please? Can adaptors be purchased?

Would seats from a Cortina, Escort or any other be suitable?

Any help would be most appreciated.

There is a 'Capri Club' that my son belongs to, I would think that is what you need for specialist information like that. Try the internet. My son has a 2.8 injection rusting away in his drive.

I'd only worry about lack of headrests if I expected to be run into from behind and thus suffer whiplash. (headrests are not guaranteed to prevent this anyway).

Have you any special need for them? They would make a Mk1 no longer original, isn't the point of driving a 'classic' to enjoy them as they are?
