Fiestaiesta - Dash camera - primus 1

Thinking of getting a dash cam my problem is I only use my car twice a week now as I have a company van and my wife uses the bus now to go to work , I really want an unobtrusive camera I can hide behind the rear view mirror and the one I really like is about 300quid (mi witness) its got a lot of ( I think) useful features WiFi ect . as I said the car isn't used often now so can I really justify pending that amount on a camera on a car that spends most of its time in the garage? Any advice anyone?

This sounds like a moral or ethical question, not a motoring one.

That's a question only you can answer really - if you have the spare money then why not? Keeps you protected in case of an insurance claim.

You could always buy one of those cheapo 'Go Pro' type action cameras and you'll be able to use it for other things too.

There are several free dashcam apps available for smartphones. I use Dailyroads Voyager on a Galaxy S2. And the screen mount was about 3 quid from an eBay seller.
