Just after a bit of advise on which Wiper blades brand to choose?Flat or Standard?

Bosch super plus are the best I've used.

Bosch Valeo Lucas are top brands

if you go to wiperblades.co.uk they sell all these and their own brand which I have used and found to be excellent. My faves are Bosch.

As important as the blades is to keep the screen clean. Use a glass polish to remove diesel grime and wash the residue off thoroughly. Toothpaste is a good substitute. Also a good quality screen wash.

I've found flat to be far superior. No judder or screaching, and they hug the screen more effectively in high winds. In really cold weather there is no jointed frame to freeze, so they'll still wipe the screen without leaving gaps.

I go to the same place as Cyd above and agree that their own brand is excellent. Good range of brands, reasonable prices and quick delivery.

I usually plump for Trico where available, not bothered about aero style, don't go fast enough for the wind to lift them.

I had to buy from the website mentioned recently, i used to buy from Five30 wiper blades or it might have been 5thirty the website i used but it appears to have vanished, have they gone kaput or does anyone have a link perchance, cheaper and free postage IIRC and they sold lots of Trico kit.

Standard blades last a lot longer if A, you keep the screen and blades clean as mentioned above by Cyd, and B, when the blades are parked you lift them and lean then the other way now and again, that stops them juddering...for proof my lorry blades are 3 years old have done over 420 thousand k's and still clear the screen well.

That is the sort of mileage we wanted a few years back for endurance testing our temperature-sensing truck fan drives. (Eventually arranged to fit them to trucks running Midlands to Glasgow day and return same night.)
