Hi everyone, t's me again!
Following on from the water sloshing incident which is slowly recovering thanks to your advice. I now have a different query.
So, I had the cambelt, water pump and associated bits changed and now the water sloshing noise has died down I have noticed that the engine is sounding different than before.. Slightly nosier when idle - tiny rattle, heard not felt. Noiser when accelerating up through the gears.
When starting the car from cold there is a very, very slight rattling sound emanating from the area they were working on. The rattle seems to settle down when it's warmed up. Since the change of belt and pump I have put about 7 miles on it. I wasn't sure if it could be:
1) 'imbedding noises' with it being new parts
2) just the way engines sound when you start to replace bit that were factory fitted standard ones
3) something else more worrisome
I'm taking the car back on Friday to get them to check it over and bleed the valves if still making the sloshing sound BUT as I've said in earlier posts I know nothing about cars and have been done over by many, many garages due to my ignorance so wanted to be armed with some knowledge about the 'maybe's'. The car is driving fine, aside from the slight sloshing.
