vauxhall corsa 1.7 diesel - oil in the air inlet manifold - nutttytart

Hi recently had my car serviced and found a oil leak that turned out to be a clip that had come loose.. however when investigating further I found that there was oil and small particles of metal in the air inlet manifold... how serious is this and can it be cured... the car is not loseing oil and has not lost power and not emitting any smoke at all from the exhaust...

can anyone advise... Do I need to get rid>?

Assuming you have a turbo then a bit of oil is normal but metal particles are not. You need the turbo checked out. What metal do you think it is. Regards Peter

Ive had the Turbo changed before so this would be the 3rd one if the turbo was the problem.. Is this normal for a 6 year old car with only 44,000 miles on the clock?

the oil was dripping off the nut of the turbo but since the clip has been tightened its dry as bone now..

This may be debris left from the previuos turbo failure. Regards Peter
