Any - Silver Calcium Battery - starfield

Hi

I noticed the other day that i have a silver calcium battery. My questions are:

Can i charge it using a normal battery charger?

Can i top it up with usual battery water (de-ionised water)?

Yes a normal charger will do and you should never have to top it up.

Why can't we top it up?

The reason why i am asking is because i want to prolong the life of my battery through regular maintenance.

I think the only rule is dont replace a Calcium battery with a normal battery on cars that are fitted Ca batts as standard, as the charging circuit can fry normal batts..

It should be maintainance free sealed for life, when a battery needs topping up its normally on its way out.

If a modern battery needs topping up it usually indicates a fault with the charging system, over-charging it and boiling the fluid off, this then warps the plates and knackers the battery.
