Hi. New to this messaging forum but hoping someone can help!

I have a 53 plate zsara picasso. 12 months ago the wipers stopped working after my trusted local garage had replaced the fuse for the wiper water pump. I was told it was a BSI fault. It took them 3 weeks to fix it at a cost of over £500. car was returned withoput the stereo and cruise control bars on the sterring column too! 3 months later the fault occured again. this time it took over 5 weeks to repair. it has gone again this week, 6 months since the last time and 3rd time in 11 months. local garage taking to citreon dealer (i live near Halesowen) for them to look at the car. my garage say BSI and electrical faults are common but for it to happen 3 times on just 1 item is strange.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or can offer any advice???

Failed wipers on these is often caused by a "lock up" of the bsi unit.There is a special procedure to re-boot the system and this usually fixes it until the next time.It would be unlikely that the bsi has failed completely unless it has had water ingress.hth
