Peugeot 406 HDi - 406 HDi fuel pump ring - helmet
Got the tank off my HDi to replace the knackered pump, and when the new one is put in situ, the large plastic retaining ring, (Which is a brand new dealer part.) won't screw onto the top to hold it in, it keeps slipping off the threads.

Any ideas?

Hi,

If the brand new part you've purchased doesn't fit, then I suggest you take it back to where you bought it and tell them. You may have a faulty new part. You 'may' need to take the tank with you to prove the point.
