Renault Clio II - Broken seat handle - ljjt

Hi, not sure what the technical term is but basically the handle that you lift on the top of the passenger seat has failed. You lift the handle and It is some sort of metal wire that runs down to the bottom of the chair to spring it forward. There seems to be some fault in this mechanism. Any one any advice or experience on how to sort this out? Any help much appreciated Thanks

This must be the one to tilt the seat so you can get in the back?

If so you will need to remove some seat trim but first just look at the bottom of the seat for the cable it may have come adrift which you can put back in failing that remove seat trim to get at cable mechanism.

Have done one on the ford Ka the cable broke a bit fiddly but can be done with patience.

Hi there, just checking if you fixed this ok? and if so how, as I have the same fault? Did you need to get a new wire, and if so where from? many thanks in advance.
