Vauxhall Cavalier - clutch cable - lee123
can anybody tell me on a cavalier 1995 with a x20xev engine (2.0 16v eco) does the clutch cable come in 2 bits or jsust the one? what are they like to change? lee

I'm pretty certain it comes as one piece on the Cav. They can be changed pretty much at the side of the road, although a well-lit covered work area will always help.

Pull on the gearbox end of the cable, unscrew the tensioner a bit, lift the cable out from the release arm, then remove the clip at the pedal end and whip out the old cable. Refitting is, as they say, the reverse of removal. Only you swear in different places.

You'll certainly swear at fitting the pedal end and need an extra joint in your spine!
