I've noticed this for a while now, and thought it may be worth getting some opinions.

Not sure how to describe this, but let's say I'm in gears higher than 2nd/3rd, everytime I accelerate or lightly apply the gas pedal, I can hear a kind of muffled splutter/flutter from the exhaust. This is noticeable with the driver window open.

Does this mean I could potentially have a leaky exhaust, and would it explain the reason why I feel there is a lack of power sometimes?

Anyone have any ideas?

Silencer perhaps?

More info - if I let the car run idle for say a few minutes, I note only water/condensation drips from the exhaust pipe - is this a good thing?

If I put my hand close to the pipe, it doesn't emit any black dust which I suppose is a good sign?

theres a section of the exhaust thats flexible on these,i reckon this is leaking as the engine flexes
hopefully
as the downpipe with cat is dear and a pig to change
