Mitsubishi Galant (1997 - 2003) - 90 2.4 Reverse lights on all the time

90 2.4 Reverse lights on all the time - MitsGal
I just noticed that my reverse lights are on all the time even neutral. Can anyone advise what the problem may be or how to rectify.

Failed reverse gear switch sticking out of the gearbox. Regards Peter
