04 3.0 cold starting problem. - dachri
cold start problem, when the engine is cold ie left overnight when i come to start it, 1st crank, engine coughs once, 2nd crank,turns over but does not fire 3rd crank i push the throttle to the floor and whilst cranking the engine coughs and splutters then starts.
the car runs great for the rest of the day starting first time every time even after being left for around 3 hours. i have been told it could be the crankshaft sensor, another person said the cold start sensor, what do you think, please help thanks.

get it hooked up and diagnoised on a computer first otherwise you could be just waisting money on stuff it dont need.....also you shouldnt need to touch the throttle pedal on a subaru if you do the ecu shuts down the injectors to prevent the cylinders flooding.
