99 2.0 xsi ticking over too quick - leedman
Hi there i have just got my car started again after needing a new coil pack and after also running out of petrol now i have changed that and toped up the fuel the revs on idle are to high is there a simple explenation for this or does this sound like a sensor of some kind.
I took it out for a run in the hope that it may drop back to normal but to no avail ??

If everything was working fine before you replaced the coil pack then you have probably disturbed or disconnected a hose somwhere, allowing air into the inlet manifold.
