98 1.8 air leak from one to two thousand revs - busta
Hi, can anyone help with my cars other problem?

When i put my foot down to rev my focus it seems to struggle as if there is an air leak.

I removed the air pips around by the fuel bayonetts but could still not find the problem.

Any ideas anyone?

Coupled with your other post; could this be a slipping clutch problem?

Hi, not sure what a slipping clutch is.

What I mean is there are two vacuum pipes at th eback left under the bonnet. One goes to the injection system and one goes to a round black box which also has fuel lines going to it, not sure what itis.

Sorry for being vague but I'm not a machanic.

So would a new clutch solve my burnt carbon smell?

Explain your problem to a competent technician and they will be able to quickly check the clutch and advise as necessary.
