04 1.9 intermittent failure to start - joe magic
Hi, can anyone please help. After heavy rain my diesel estate refuses to start. Called out rescue, towed to garage, guess what the car started. This has been happening for months. The car will go for weeks then no go again. Seems like the imobilizer. Also the bonnet lock is faulty. Any connection. Joe.

some times mine does this but dont think its connected to rain, mine has spells for a couple of weeks then it goes away for months then re apears, with mine as soon as it fails to start i dont keep trying it just wont go until i turn it completely off count to 4secs then when i re try it always starts but if i try to rush it still wont have any. it may work for u

Would've helped to know what engine; there isn't a 1.9 and the 2.0 diesel has two different types.
