bad parking???

I ask this as I parked really badly when I dropped a friend off at the train station. I knew this so I ran back to find british transport police parked up against my car. I immediately apologised and told the officer what I was doing. The officer told me I was parked very badly and left it at that. I will not be trying that again for sure.

Majority of 'parking' offences have been decriminalised and as such do nor carry points.

However there still remains the criminal offence of causing a vehicle to remain at rest on road in such a position as likely to cause danger - S 22 Road Traffic Act 1988 - 3 points.

....probably nothing more than common sense Policing with the human touch. DVD explained it, there are other scenarios where you might get points, Parking on Double White Lines is another that spring to mind.

Parking on zigzag lines on a pedestrian crossing will also get you points ISTR.

I wish some of the ******** round here could get points for parking on the pavement.
