Toyota Landcruiser 90 (1997 - 2003) - (97-03) - Squealing heater fan

(97-03) - Squealing heater fan - Chad.R
The heater fan on my Landcruiser has started to (what I can only describe as) squeal. Quite similar to a loose fan belt but the pitch is higher and obviously lower volume.

On the fan's 2 higher settings the noise seems to disappear or at least it is drowned by the "wind" noise. It is certainly noticeable on the 2 lower settings.

Not really a big problem in the scheme of things but it is starting to get on my nerves. Any advice would be very welcome.

If you are sure its the fan then you are going to have to take it out and give it a good coat of looking at ,maybe the bearings going.

Thanks - that presumably means pulling the whole facia/dash off to access the fan?

If so, I'm probably going to have to put up with it.
