How to remove the plastic cover over the top of the engine?

I think it is just a tight push on, pull off fit . Ease it (pulling upward) just clear of the retaining pins at the back of the engine then let it rest back on top of the pins repeat at front of engine cover. Bending to far upwards will damage the inside of the engine cover. If this is not successful try here for more information.
