There are some ducks that come up from our river to walk around the village. They always call on me because, on a day when there wasn't any bread for them, my partner gave them half a packet of HobNobs. They always call now - they know where the good stuff is!

Weird. We have 3 visiting ducks to the pond in our office gardens. Also very happy to come right up to you etc. They too showed up for the first time this year last weekend. Hopefully they will stick around for several weeks like last year.

So I would also like to know the answer to this IHAQ.

PS Apparently it's not a good idea to feed ducks with bread. They have problems digesting yeast. 'Ours' get wild duck feed (pellet things) and occasional veg. They seem to like tomatoes!

I'd not heard about the yeast problem, I'll have to remember that next time we go to Center Parcs.
If you hold a bit of bread about 10 inches above their heads, the boldest ones will jump for it. Its quite funny watching them jump repeatedly 5 or 6 times in quick succession. Well the Center Parcs ones do anyway!
