gears are clunky until warmed up, if the pedal drops to the floor adn as you drive works it's way back up then it will be the concentric valve (inside the box). at night put a set of mole grips onto the pipe coming from the box (it is obvious) then in the morning see if the pedal is as normal DO NOT LEAVE THE GRIPS ON AND DRIVE THE VAN!!!!!!!

sorry, to add

vauxhall show on TIS that the problem is caused by the spined shaft not being greased when assembled and the sure is to seperate the box and engine and grease the splined shaft, the dealers will not admit this though and will charge an arm and a leg to do it (just for a change).
