does anyone know if the Ford Duratech 3.0L V6 has a cam belt or chain?

A more knowledgeable person will be along soon but as I understand it, not in the normal lifetime of the car prooviding it's serviced properly.

The chain may stretch slightly, but it is the tensioners that will usually cause the problems on a chain driven cam.

A failure of a tensioner will cause the same problems as a snapped chain. i.e. £££££ on a engine rebuild.
