Hello guys
Just wondering if any of you have any experience with the engine management light coming on while dirving normally with no noticeable fault. All levels are correct and all connections/fuses sound. I don't need general advice as I'm competent with mechanics/electronics - I just wondered if any of you had experience with this so perhaps I can identify a generic fault. Sorry to say it's the in laws car who've just arrived so you can appreciate my enthusiasm to make sure they get home!

On the 850 you could flash the fault codes, so possibly the same on the V70. Have a look on the volvo forums for the correct pins to put a lamp across.

I think on these you do need the scan tool.
Almost impossible to say what the problem is without looking at the car and with no obvious symptoms. Could be many things.

If you dont have other symptoms, good guess is the maf is on the way out. Which engine ?
