Software Activation Key - jiwson
was the disc itself in a sleeve/case ? - sometimes the unlock code is on a sticker on that.

Is it an er...."legitimate" disc?

Try looking at the contents of the CD for one.

It is lagitimate, I bought it in Game, I've taken one back but they're all the same.

The code will be there somewhere. I'm guessing it's a game. Which one?

Try the back of the manual, the back of the case and in one other case I've had it nestled inside the manual.

Silly question - is it printed on teh actual disc>?

I've gone to the fan website, www.freedomfans.com, but their fourm is different to this one so I don't know how to use it.

Another thought - when you open the jewel case - where the CD would normally sit, look behind that if it's clear plastic. *Sometimes* they are printed here.

It will reveal everything that is on your system from hardware to software and a lot more besides, including the Windows and other programs' keys.
