ford mondeo 1.8td (1995) - itchy
Hi, I had a diesel leak on my 1.8td mondeo (1995). I found it to be the top of the stop solenoid that was leaking so I replaced the stop solenoid. Since then the engine will not start. It just constantly turns over without firing. It has got fuel in it and I know for sure the stop solenoid is working. I have tried testing it withou the plunger in the stop solenoid as well just to be certain. The pump itself was not disturbed, nor was anything else for that matter. I literally just took one solenoid out and put another in. One thing I noticed though was this engine does not have a 'primer pump'. Can I take it the engine is self priming? maybe this is the problem I am having??
Any help is gratefully appreciated.

It will almost certainly have a priming pump. Find the fuel filter, I think its a small bulb on top of the filter housing on the Mondeo.
