Hi,
Cars developed a gear box problem, gear change is bit vauge and when you move gear stick you can hear it hitting somthing metal underneath! Anyone have any ideas?
Also the cars a t reg nissan primera, 91k miles, dent in off side door and air conditioning packed up is it actualy worth fixing as i wont get much when i re sell.

A bush or two has probably got worn on the linkage, so it moves to far and hits something underneath. Also makes the changing gear a bit vague.
The aircon probably just needs regassing, not too expensive. If there's not much else wrong with the car, I would keep it, 91K is not a mega mileage these days.

I agree that these problems are unlikely to be expensive to fix. There are quite a number of bushings on the two change rods (a set at each end of each rod). All together these probably cost less than about £16 and would not be too difficult to renew.
Have air-con re-gassed and take it from there.
