'95 BMW Convertible Roof Repairs - paige boy
I need to find a specialist to tighten/repair the automatic convertible roof of my beloved BMW 318i. The roof jams/gets stuck when it's folding back. It appears the tensioners need tightening.

Anyone have recommendations for a specialist in London? I've gone to BMW, but they're quoting £300 for the repair kit but this is mostly labour...but they won't guarantee it'll solve the problem. I'd like to find an alternative.

Any useful suggestions welcome.

Might be worth checking the classic car magazines, or one of the BMW specialist magazines. Usually plenty of adverts for replacement roofs there, and the suppliers may either operate a fitting service or be able to suggest some fitting specialists who could help you. That, or a call to the magazine staff....
