Firstly it's a fuel injection engine and so there is no choke. The ECM will decide how much fuel to supply the engine depending on many factors. One is manifold vacuum so check to make sure you have no vacuum leaks. Another is coolant temperature so check the ECT sensor for resistance which should be around 3,000ohms for a cold engine and around 200ohms for a warm engine. If your sensor resistance is too low it'll be telling the ECM that the engine is warmer than it actually is, and that may be your problem.
