Nissan Primastar 20dci 115 - smoke from oil filler and dip stick - r1gas

hi my nissan with the m9r engine. has smoke coming from the filler cap and dip stick

what happened was the gear box went a water hose came off because it hadnt been put on properly ,the van was run for abit with out water

new gear box in now not using water but smoking from filler cap runing fine

i dont seeit being the head gasket with no lose of water or signs of oil mixing a

any sujestions wecome

Oil smoke from the filler cap and dipstick tube will be due to excessive crankcase pressure. Either the breather is blocked or you have worn piston rings or cylinder bores.
