My Golf often stalls,usually when changing gear or backing off. Occasionally when cruising steadily it feels like it's missing a little, and it feels like it's hesitating every second or two. The glow-plug light usually comes on after it has stalled. The brake lights are all good (which is what the glow-plug light usually means).

It never stalls when accelerating, doesn't smoke, and I get an indicated 60mpg+.

Could this be blocked injectors? Injector loom? Dodgy fuel? (I use the same Shell station usually)

Any ideas gladly received!
