All cars take in rain water into the doors, but there are drain holes in the bottom of the doors to allow the water to escape.Perhaps yours are blocked?

Due to messy passengers who open the glass part way and flick 'things' out. Things which drop down between the glass and the rubber and then get wound down into the door, falling down to the bottom and blocking the drain holes. I've had it. Use a cocktail stick or tooth-pick to poke through the hole(s). I have to admit, I blocked my driver door drain hole the same way, so can't criticise.

As Leckie says, door cavity is defined as a wet area. You'll find drain holes along the bottom seam, usually where the inner and outer door panels meet.
