I've been advised i should idle my fabia 1.9tdi 57 plate to cool the turbo

Is this correct?

Only if you come straight off high-speed driving-around normal streets,just switch it off normally.

Particularly as you come into motorway service areas. The handbook will give you full details.

The use of flushing oils seems a tad unfashionable,though, judging by recent threads on that topic
