Vauxhall coarser

I presently drive a 12-year-old Vauxhall Corsa Vegas (mine from new), which has yet to reach 26,000 miles on the clock. However I suspect that despite its low mileage it will need to be replaced in the next year or two as the effects of standing in salt-laden coastal air become apparent. I am not especially keen to buy another new car as it is left at the rear of a block of flats overnight, and vandals are tempted to scratch anything too attractive. Can you suggest a replacement, ideally with power steering this time around, that I can expect to last a fair amount of time, and that will be economical to run? I rarely manage 2,000 miles per year as we walk a lot in the area where we live and tend to use public transport for long journeys.

Smart to buy at a part-exchange auction a car that has been pre-scratched or damaged. That devalues it. And saves you paying a dealer to do it up and take a profit when it is only going to get scratched again. You can’t pick and choose at these auctions. You just have to bid when a car feels right and seems to be coming for the right money.
