Porsche 911 (997/2) (2008 - 2011)
Carrera pdk
The Latest 2010 911
I'm prepared for very very high repair and maintenance costs.
Just as with my last 911 and the four before that!
The Porsche owners are rarely honest about running cost’s these cars are expensive for parts and go wrong more often than any owner will ever say except me.
Oil seals gearbox linkages tyre wear brake suspension wear and interiors falling apart A/C not working in reality they are no better than a Renault probably worst than a Citroen!
Most owners have the money and don’t make a fuss, as they tend to change them when the money runs out or the warranty does as they have the dosh to do a 24-month change.
24-month warranty that’s how confident Porsche are about their products! Not very are they!
Porsche dealers are run by the sales men, still wet behind the ears and believe customers are there to be fleeced and have money to burn.
We do all get fleeced.
You'd be forgiven for believing Porsche would now be able to design oil seals that didn’t leak and Brakes, which didn’t seize up and A/C that worked but you’d be wrong. I hope this 997 model is better than the 996 994 and 993 but I doubt it.
Porsche spend millions on research and development every year and simple oil seals fail on almost every model after just a few years maybe they should concentrate on the basics a little more!!!!!
The only German Manufacturer that make Italian cars look sensible.
Why have I bought another Porsche well Ferrari are worst Aston Martin worst again Audi R8 looks awful and Mercedes you may as well drive a van most after all most Mercs are vans.
Unbelievable yep here we are in 2010 now lets see which Engine Oil seal A/C seal or Gearbox Seal fails just 2 months out of warrany yep folks lets give the 997 a couple of years before we rave foolishly about how brilliant and reliable they are!
How hard can it be to build a sports car, which doesn’t end up with a few thousand pound bill after a just couple of years?
Oh The Lambo Galliardo does a clutch every 4-8000 miles.
