Family estate car for £20-25k?

I'm looking to trade in my Fabia Estate for a new family car. I've looked at crossovers but think an estate is the best option. I cover 15k a year with a 20 mile commute and a number of 200 mile plus journeys to see family. So am thinking of a golf estate with a 2.0 TDI in SE trim. I'm probably going to buy new for the warranty benefit.

The Golf estate, SEAT Leon estate and Octavia estate are all the same under the skin, but the Octavia feels the biggest and most solid. 1.6 TDI 110 and 2.0 TDI 150 are now manifold in head so less likely to suffer EGR and DPF problems, but the 1.4 TSI 150 ACT petrol is still a nicer engine to drive.
