Can you recommend a reliable second hand estate?

Can you help me choose a reliable used car for taxi use with 45+mpg? My budget is £4500-£5000.

The best was the Peugeot 406 2.0HDI, capable of 400k without significant trouble, but they are really old now. If you can find a 2009-current Avensis, then they have been reliable. From your list the older Avensis with the new engine looks like your best bet.
