What's the best small car for £2000?

I’m looking to buy a used car for £2000. The car will be mostly used for trips in and around London, with the occasional jaunt to the country. Any advice on what would be reliable, economical and entirely undesirable to potential thieves?

Toyota Yaris 1.0. If you can't find one, the next best is a Ford Fiesta 1.25 (NOT a Fiesta 1.3).
