Which small CVT auto?

Having been burnt by expensive replacement of a failed CVT on current car, I wish to replace with a new or used small to medium car with a reliable AND economical automatic gearbox before warranty on new gearbox runs out. As I don't like traditional 4 speed torque converters due to the impact on MPG & emissions versus equivalent manual, what would you put on may well be a very short list? I currently reckon a Yaris MMT, Jazz CVT or Polo DSG - any others?
