Best petrol crossovers?

I'm looking to change our 55-plate 2.2 CTDI Honda CR-V. Looking at a smaller crossover. We do about 6000 miles a year, mostly short trips, but some of 20 miles per week and monthly trips of 150 miles.

Your comments on DPF, DMF and Turbo problems have scared me off diesels so what are the best petrol crossovers? I like the look of the ASX (it's a bit different) but you say it lacks ooomph?

ASX diesel very economical. Can't comment on petrol because I did not drive it. Your best bet is probably a Skoda Yeti 1.2TSI 105. New Vauxhall Mokka on the way.
