What estate with good visability?

Can you please recommend any large(ish) estates? I am looking for an auto with good rearward visibility. We drive 10k to 15k miles per annum. I am struggling to find anything as comfortable for 2 footed auto driving as our 20 year old Rover 216SLi (140,000m) but sadly this oldun' needs replacing soon.

Estate cars have all got a lot thicker around the C and D pillars since yours was built and this restricts rear visibility. The best vis I have experienced in a recent car was in a KIA Venga (a Hyundai ix20 is the same thing). I simply can't remember which autos had big brake pedals and which didn't. I don't have a problem with any, even when they are biased heavily to the right, like a manual with the clutch pedal removed.
