Buying a Ford Grand C-Max automatic - no choice but a diesel?

I read your good review about a Ford Grand C-Max and am planning to buy a new one. As I only want to go for an automatic, there is only a 2.0-litre diesel engine to chose from.

Given that I am not a heavy driver and will use the vehicle mainly for weekend trips and shopping, would you still recommend this model? Do you know of any potential problems with this particular diesel engine?

I haven't heard of any DPF/DMF problems with this drivetrain yet, but the car will need to be driven distances regularly to clear the DPF. The Focus 1.6 petrol 125PS is available with the Powershift, but the C-Max is not.
