I have followed your column for many years and often follow advice given.

I work in the deep country of North Yorkshire at ancient heritage sites often up small lanes and tracks. After last winter i decided to invest in 4 Michelin Alpins for my modest Renault dCi Modus.

All i can say is thank you, the result is stunning!

Country lanes, snow drifts 4 inches of snow and a 1 in 3 climb at Bulmer bank all taken in its stride.

That is not to say that you are unstoppable but with common sense and awareness I havnt had so much fun for along while, so if anyone is considering winter tyres, especially if they need them to get to and from work across country as I do, don't hesitate.
