Coming home

We are returning to the UK after thirty years in Canada. We are both getting on in years and we like automatic transmission. We have about ten thousand pounds to spend. If possible we would like to buy a four or five door car. However, we could go for three doors. Could you suggest one or two cars in this price range that wouldn't cost a fortune to maintain and are reasonably good on gas. We would like a new car but we can see that we might have to go for used. We will be living in Bournemouth.

Hyundai i10 1.2 auto, about £9,500, 5 year warranty; KIA Picanto 1.2 auto, about £10,500, 7 year warranty. The 5-door Picanto auto is cheaper than the 3-door.
