I'm looking to sell my 05 C-Max TDI with 105,000 miles on the clock. I would like a new or nearly new alternative to replace this car. I went to Ford and they wanted the earth.

Wondering about alternatives; I had a quick look on the web at the Nissan Qashqai, which looked similiar. Are there other alternatives?

Ford quality is easily as good as Audis. So the company is trying to raise the prices it gets for its cars to try to become as profitable as Audi. That's okay, as long as it doesn't pull the carpet out from under private customers feed by discounting to fleets. Your alternative is to look at slightly smaller cars like the Hyundai ix20 and KIA Venga.
