Gearslick?

My wife owns a two-year-old Honda Jazz 1.4 I-DSI SE CVT-7 Automatic that she loves. When it is 3 yrs old we intend to change it for another Jazz automatic but she is worried that the new one has a different automatic set-up from the one she has. If there is a great difference she will not have one but could you tell me what the difference is, and will it be any more difficult to drive?

It is different. It has an automated manual system, which is basically a manual gearbox with an electric clutch and electric gearchange controlled by electronics. If she is a gentle driver, she won't notice the difference. But if she is prone to putting her foot down she will experience lurching as the electronics try to subdue the upward gearchanges.
