Good: Excellent to drive. More spacious than original Mondeo. Estate roomier than a Merc E-Class. Good value used.
Bad: Some early models have uncomfortable seats. Limited storage for odds and ends. Various problem areas including DMFs on diesels.

Good: Prettier with more room and more performance than original Jazz, more fun to drive, low CO2, so low taxes for European versions. Excellent versatility
Bad: Euro 6-speed I-SHIFT for economy and emissions rather than CVT, but works well. Initially did not "pass" EC low C02 tests.

Good: Clever interior redefined the small car. Has proved to be very reliable.

Bad: Not as sharp as a Mondeo. Limited rear legroom. The 2.2DI can be heavy on the oil. Reports of parking brake failures.

Good: The best family car made better, restyled outside, all external panels new, all core ride, handling and safety values retained. Low CO2 1.6 diesels.
Bad: Economical petrol 1.6 VCT dropped. 2.0i down to 5-speed box.

Good: Roomy, practical interior. Good looks. Refined engines include a fuel-efficient diesel. A satisfying and reliable car to own.
Bad: Not as sporty as a Focus. The 1.6 can be too vocal at motorway speeds. Potential faults with electric power steering.
