Buying a car for the 1st time - pinkppl

Hi

I have just passed my test & have found a car @ a local trade garage. I have got the rac to do a full check on the car. All I need to know on the day if the check comes back fine what paperwork etc comes with the car?

The car has MOT for a few months & is also Taxed. I will get it insured on the day of purchase but when I get home what do I have to do other paperwork etc?

If it checks out OK (presume RAC do a HPI check) then you have covered yourself as much as you can. Any used car purchase is a lottery. But get the garage to give it a new MOT before you collect it.

The only paperwork you need to do is send the V5 the seller will hand to you to Swansea.

Check the Government websites for advice, e.g. DVLA etc.
